Plans to build a non-firing 1:1 scale replica of the famous Army Issue Colt .45 Double Action Revolver from 1909.
The plans set includes:
10 Pages of A3 Full Sized Plans - no scaling required and full sized templates are provided or cutting parts.
1 Full size Auto Cad Parts File containing all the parts for those who wish to cut the parts on a CNC machine.
25 Pages of Build Photographs and Links to reference photographs of the Colt DA Revolver.
A copy of the US Ordnance Department Document "Description Of Colt's Double-Action Revolver, Caliber .45." with full spec and details of the revolver.
The Colt .45 DA revolver is 10.8 inches long and 2 pounds 7 ounces in weight. The barrel is 5.5 inch in length and bore diameter of 0.455 inch.
The replica is non firing and designed as a display item although it can be used as a prop or for milsim use. The barrel is only bored out for half its length to avoid legal problems.
To keep within laws in various areas, the replica cylinder is designed so as not to be able to chamber rounds although immitation rounds can be inserted for a realistic effect.
The plans set is in PDF format and sent as an email attachment after purchase. The full size plans can be printed on a home A3 printer or taken to a local print shop.
